Kong versus Godzilla

Very soon one of the most anticipated Kaiju movies will be released, Kong versus Godzilla. After thorough investigation and research on their abilities, size, and fighting capabilities I have compiled a list so that you may judge who you think the winner will be.

To start this analysis, we’ll begin with Kong. Kong is a large gorilla, in Skull Island Kong was around 100 feet tall, now he is on scale with Godzilla making him around 390-400 feet tall. This makes him 80 times larger than the average gorilla. After all, it has been over 50 years. With his huge size, it would only make sense that he would also be very strong. The average gorilla can lift up to 4000 pounds or 2 tons, as Kong is 80 times the average size we’ll also assume he has around 80 times the strength. This would enable him to lift 320000 pounds or 160 tons of weight. Kong is also shown to be fire/heat resistant in Skull island as he walks through fire unfazed. An ability Kong has that is not yet shown and that might not even make an occurrence is Kong’s lightning ability. In the 1962 Kong versus Godzilla, Kong was empowered by a thunderstorm and was able to control lightning at will.

Moving on to Godzilla, there are several abilities so I’ll stick to the main ones. First off is Godzilla's Atomic breath, Godzilla charges up the radioactive energy in his scales along his tail and back and fires it out at his opponent. In Godzilla versus MechaGodzilla II it is recorded that the temperatures reach up to 1.2 million degrees Celsius or 240 times hotter than the sun. While I doubt Godzilla has any desire to go that hot against anyone, he still could in theory. Godzilla also can use the spikes on his tail and back to fire off lasers destroying objects above him or around him. Godzilla also has a radioactive pulse ability, if he feels threatened enough and has enough radioactive power he will begin releasing deadly radioactive waves that will be able to melt through concrete, if I had to guess I would say that the waves are most likely gamma radiation or stronger. While we don’t know Godzilla’s actual strength or have any reference, he was able to throw a large Titan a few miles.

The two seem very evenly matched to me, I would like to say I favor Godzilla for this fight since I love Godzilla so much, but Kong definitely has a lot of advantages especially on land. In the water, however, Godzilla has the advantage as he can move quickly and is more adapted to water, unlike Kong.
