Godzilla vs Kong

The Kaiju movie to rule them all, the most anticipated fight, the moment we’ve all been waiting for is finally here. Kong versus Godzilla! The two titans are both considered to be the strongest of all the titans, but only one of them can truly be the victor. If you have yet to watch the movie, I heavily recommend that you do not read the last paragraph of this review as there will be spoilers.

The plot felt very forced and lackluster with several plot holes and inconsistencies. For example, the human protagonists have to sneak into a secret laboratory, however, there are very few guards or even people around so they basically are able to walk right into a heavily classified area. Personally, I would have liked to see them sneaking around because I think stealth missions are cool and fun to watch. I would rate the story a 4/10.

The fights on the other hand were very fun to watch. While the majority of the fights are short and don’t last long, there are several short fights and one long fight. The long fight is the final battle between Kong and Godzilla, so it makes sense that it would be the longest fight. I would rate the fight sequences 8.5/10

**Major Spoiler Alert!**!

While the movie is called Kong Versus Godzilla, another famous kaiju appears. Mechagodzilla! Mechagodzilla is a man-made version of Godzilla using the remains of Ghidora to try and stop Godzilla. Ghidora’s remains even took control over the Mechagodzilla and killed the human who was controlling the mech. So, the final battle was actually a tag team match of Godzilla and Kong versus Mechagodzilla. I loved the surprise twist and thought it was a good way to end the fight. Overall, I would rate the movie 7/10
