World Art Day - April 17, 2021

On April 15th we celebrate World Art Day. On this day we help celebrate this so we can show and strengthen the bond of creativity and artistic creations and also help encourage to see the different art types and styles for what they are and for what they can be. This date of April 15th was chosen for this day to honor Leonardo da Vinci’s birth date. The first time it was celebrated was in 2015 in the CIty of Los Angeles.

World art day used to be celebrated on the 2nd Friday in August, but Becky Mate, the founder of art day, had announced the move of the holiday, to basically show honor to Leonardo da Vinci’s and honor to his works. Although you can be creative anyday of the year, this date just shows the importance of creativity and shows what people can do with just a single thought of it, and brings the light to the importance of creativity to a person’s mind. And just be reminded you don't have to be very creative to celebrate, even just drawing a simple stick figure could show how you notice the importance of this day.

Ways to celebrate World Art Day Include:

• Draw a picture

• Write a song

• Write a story or poem

• Paint a picture

• Make some mail art and send it out

• Have a party

• Or just be creative to someone else
